Emma is a former dairy veterinarian turned co-founder, with epidemiology in her blood. After completing a Masters in Veterinary Studies majoring in epidemiology, she pursued a PhD investigating calf failure of passive transfer and mortality, sharpening the precision she now brings to study design, GLP and GCP logistics. Emma is deeply passionate about rural communities and animal welfare, and channels that energy into EpiVets' management and governance. Based in Pirongia, she balances the demands of co-founding a data driven business with life alongside her husband, four children, and a menagerie of animals, squeezing in a run whenever she can.

It was there that his passion for research took hold, leading him to complete an MVS in Veterinary Epidemiology in 2020. In 2022, Greg co founded EpiVets, where he now pursues that passion for research full time, alongside completing a PhD on mastitis in New Zealand dairy sheep. Based in Cambridge with his wife and two children, Greg balances the demands of research with exercising, cooking, and exploring whatever podcast catches his interest.

Julia is a regulatory affairs and product development expert with more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicines. After earning a PhD in molecular biology, she began her career with the UK regulator before moving to New Zealand in 2007, where she worked with Zoetis and later founded her own consultancy, Intuit Regulatory. Julia joined EpiVets in 2024, bringing deep expertise in regulatory affairs and quality assurance to the team. Based in Auckland, she spends her downtime exploring New Zealand's backcountry and volunteering on conservation projects, channelling the same care for the land into her time off the clock.

Trent thrives on bringing agricultural expertise and innovative thinking together to deliver trials that make a genuine difference for rural communities. Outside of work, he's all about family time and getting behind local sports, staying just as connected to his community off the clock as he is on it.

A member of the Epidemiology chapter of Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, he has spent the past six years improving animal and stakeholder well-being through research across diverse species. Based in Raglan, Winston enjoys playing guitar, social sports, and travelling when and where possible.

She has successfully guided multiple products through the drug development process. Laura brings a rich background in animal health, welfare, and behaviour science, spanning research, teaching, and government policy. Originally from the UK, she holds a BSc in Zoology and an MSc in Conservation Biology. Originally from Germany, Astrid moved to New Zealand in 2008 and soon developed a strong interest in the agricultural industry. She has since built broad experience across animal health and reproduction, including roles as a TB Technician, an AB Technician with LIC, and most recently at Animal Breeding Services, supporting semen production. Astrid now brings that varied background to her role as a Research Technician at EpiVets, offering a genuinely well rounded understanding of animal reproduction across different systems. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming and playing squash, keeping active whenever she gets the chance.

Meg brings hands on experience in intensive large scale dairy livestock and reproduction management, built over five years as a Reproduction and Livestock Supervisor at AFMH. She is skilled in artificial insemination, embryo transfer and pregnancy checking, and thrives at the intersection of animal health, productivity and research. Meg is completing a Bachelor of Animal Science, due for completion in October, and brings genuine passion to genetics and reproductive performance. Outside of work, she is busy on the family farm, helping run the Galloway cattle stud and Wiltipoll sheep flock, and can usually be found with a good book.

Alex trained in Sydney and began his career in dairy practice in Victoria, while completing two masters degrees concentrating on dairy cattle health, management, and epidemiology at the University of Melbourne. After moving to New Zealand, he worked in government on disease surveillance and modelling, while also completing a PhD focused on antimicrobial resistance in dairy herds. Alex's primary interests span dairy cattle management, endemic infectious diseases, and disease modelling, giving him a well rounded, research driven perspective on the challenges facing modern farming.

Birgit is a veterinary epidemiologist with more than 20 years of experience in infectious disease and One Health across three continents. Dan is a disease ecologist and epidemiologist with a focus on veterinary parasites and pathogens. Originally from the UK, he holds an MSc in zoology and a PhD in veterinary parasitology from Cardiff University. His past work spans malaria control and liver fluke research in Wales, giving him a strong grounding in disease dynamics across very different systems. After several years based in New Zealand, Dan has since returned to the UK, where he makes the most of his surroundings, trail running and exploring the country on multiday hikes whenever he gets the chance.

Her PhD in Statistics from Massey University looked at Source Attribution Models using Random Forest for Whole Genome Sequencing Data, a fitting pivot from clinical work to data driven insight. Helen has worked in research for more than 15 years and takes real pleasure in turning complex data into meaningful stories. When she isn't exploring a large dataset, she can be found exploring the Wairarapa with her three children, often with sports gear or a musical instrument in tow.

After completing her PhD in genetics, she built extensive expertise in GCP monitoring, GLP compliance, product development strategy, and clinical study oversight through roles with CROs, Bayer Animal Health, and Elanco. A member of the Research Quality Association, Veronica has spent recent years consulting through her own business, Chiron Associates, bringing that same rigour and precision to every client she works with. Angela’s primary career is in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with a strong focus on improving access to care for people with chronic disease in rural and remote communities. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney and has co-authored research publications in this area.
More recently, Angela has expanded into agriculture and animal research, drawing on her upbringing on a farm in north-west NSW. Now based on a sheep and cattle property in the Central West, she combines her interests through project management. Outside of work, Angela enjoys time with family, gardening, and horse riding.
